St. Mark's on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church
Our Community and World Missions
In His name, we are committed to serving others less fortunate than ourselves. The missions we currently support:
Friends Feeding Friends: The third Saturday of every month, we prepare and serve a meal for Project Share, a meal site for the homeless and needy. You can participate in this important community ministry by donating needed food items, cooking and/or serving. Check the Friends Feeding Friends sign-up poster in the chuch hall each month. Call Jo Ann Swinson at 265-3339 for more information.
Child Share: Our church is home to the Child Share Co-op, which stores children's clothing, toys, diapers and personal hygiene items for new foster and adoptive parents.
The Storehouse: We collect canned fruit and deliver it toThe Storehouse throughout the year. Consider bringing a can next time you come to the church. Collection boxes are located in the Narthex. Call the Church Office at 262-2484 for more information.
Operation Christmas Child: Each Thanksgiving/Christmas season, we participate in the Samaritan's Purse International Relief ministry Operation Christmas Child. Parishioners take home a shoe box (or two or three) to fill with small toys and gifts, school supplies and personal hygiene items for children in needy areas of the world.
